The Work

What This Service Covers

Gas changes how a home feels after dark. A fireplace that lights with a switch, a barbecue that never needs a tank swap, torches that come on along the pool deck and a fire pit that is ready when guests are. Every one of those pleasures runs on a gas line that somebody has to plan and install well.

We run those lines for homeowners and for the builders whose communities fill our service area, including the outdoor living spaces in the club communities we serve. Lines are routed for the way the space will actually be used, with shutoffs where they belong and capacity for the fixtures you add next.

Good Questions

Fireplaces, Barbecues and Gas Lights Questions

Can you run gas to my outdoor kitchen and barbecue?

Yes, outdoor kitchens are one of the most popular projects we take on. We run the line from your meter or propane tank to the grill and any side burners, size it for everything cooking at once, and place shutoffs where they are easy to reach. The result is a barbecue that never runs out of fuel mid dinner.

Do you install fireplace log sets like Peterson logs?

We run the gas lines and make the connections for fireplace log sets, including Peterson logs, a name South Florida homeowners have asked for over many years. If your fireplace was built for wood and you want the ease of gas, we will look at the firebox and the route a line would take, then tell you what is involved.

Can tiki torches and a fire pit share one line?

They usually can. Torches, fire pits and gas lights draw modest amounts of fuel, and a single well planned line can often feed several fixtures around a pool deck or garden. We add up the load of every fixture you want, including future ones, and size the run so the farthest flame burns as strongly as the nearest.

Is it better to feed outdoor fixtures with natural gas or propane?

Both work beautifully outdoors. Natural gas offers an endless supply where street service exists, while propane serves homes beyond the gas main and stores on your own property. The fixtures themselves are often the same. We will look at what your home already runs on and build the outdoor system around it.
