The Work
What This Service Covers
When the power goes out in South Florida, a standby generator earns its place in about ten seconds. What most homeowners never see is the fuel line behind it. A generator at full load draws more gas than every other appliance in the house combined, and an undersized line means a generator that stumbles exactly when it is needed most.
We work with the generator brands South Florida homeowners choose, including Generac and Guardian standby units. Whether your generator burns natural gas from the street or propane from a tank in the yard, we plan the line and the supply so the machine can carry the house through the outage.
Included in a Typical Job
- Gas lines sized for full generator load
- Natural gas and propane connections
- Lines for new and existing generators
- Tank sizing when propane feeds the generator
- Hookups coordinated with your generator installer
- Service across Palm Beach and Broward counties

Good Questions
Generators Questions
Why does generator line sizing matter so much?
A standby generator is the hungriest gas appliance most homes will ever own. At full load it can draw more fuel than the range, dryer, water heater and pool heater combined. If the line feeding it was sized like an ordinary appliance line, the generator may start and then falter under load. Correct sizing at installation is what prevents that.
Can my propane tank run a standby generator?
Yes, propane is an excellent generator fuel because it stores well and does not go stale. The key is storage size. A generator can empty a small tank quickly during a long outage, so we size the tank for the generator along with everything else it feeds, and we will tell you honestly how many days of runtime that gives you.
Do you work with my generator installer or electrician?
Gladly. Generator projects usually involve a generator dealer, an electrician and a gas contractor. Our part is the fuel system, the line, the connection and, on propane homes, the tank. We coordinate timing with the rest of your team so the generator is fueled and ready when the installation is complete.
Can you hook up a generator on an existing gas system?
Usually, yes. We look at the size of your existing line and the load already on it, then either connect to it or run a properly sized new line from the meter or tank. Homes adding a generator often need that new line, and finding out before storm season is far better than finding out during it.
